Streetstyle happenings at LA Art Book Fair 2017

A cross between a gallery opening, fashion week, and a zine fest, LAABF hosts a multitude of style tribes and fashion ideas all inside the MOCA museum in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Art Book Fair is the LA companion to Printed Matter's New York Art Book Fair. It's a great event where publications, store owners, and distributors from all over the world show off their wares to the public. The fair is free admission where you can buy unique gifts, or new additions to your library or art collection from independent artists and publishers.

Other than scoping out the latest literary or artistic talents in the printed world, it's a spectacular place for street style. One of the only events where you can see an amalgam of different communities and "scenes" come together all for the love of art and the written word. We were happy to spend the whole 3 days (Friday-Sunday) at the fair and observed all walks of sartorial life. Minimalist art curator types donning sleek black trench coats, turtlenecks, and smart slacks, fashion bloggers in the latest colorful seventies/nineties revival outfits, or DIY punks in full spiked leather jacket regalia.

We scoured the fair and snapped our favourite standouts at the fair!

We loved her quirky look. Points of fashion: beret, ruffle coat, questions mark messenger bag, and printed heel shoes.
