You don't Nomi: Klaus Nomi

I'd like to give him a hug and make experimental Opera with him.

Klaus Nomi

A Dracula Avant-Garde looking man, who sings Opera and pops in and out of Coffins for stage theatrics in a gothic new wave appeal

I would have liked to have bought it myself as an Earthly memento of a friend who seemed to be visiting from another world, a world that perhaps he’s returned to.

Most well known for his elegant, but eccentric stage performances, and whimsical soothing voice. His most famous song, that I knew as a child, but never knew it's origin was,

Ding dong the witch is dead.

His LOUD appearance has also been a key opponent to his fame and gossip. A mixture of goth, glam rock, avant-garde, and 1800's fashion.

Honestly Klaus reminds me of, singing wise: Tiny Tim and Nina Hagen, appearance: Siouxsie and the Banshees, Pee Wee Herman, and the young Madonna, Wayne Gacy (or pogo the clown) from Marilyn Manson and the spooky kids (era).

And while I felt comfortable in his presence, I also felt as if Klaus was not of this planet. There was something strange and alien about him, but benignly so. Klaus was an unusual being…which he would soon confirm.
— Dangerous minds

He also sang and performed with glam rock goddess David Bowie. They both where adequate friends. It's just an eye pleaser. David being cute, and Klaus being quirky.

It's common that now Klaus is being recognized for his unique appearance. Drag queens and other entertainers are dressing like him and grooving to his tunes.  Klaus was also featured in Venture Bros, The well known Adult Swim TV show. People should defiantly listen to ding dong the wicked witch is dead, it's really quite comical and exuberant. Go listen to his music, become a goth alien, make new wave German songs, and most of all, wear what you want and create what you can!
